ACC’s engineering degree plan is a roadmap for student advancement. Focused math classes help students advance their skills at every level.

Technician/Pre-Engineering (TPE) Institute

The one-year TPE Institute trains students for a career as an electronics tech. It’s also an excellent way to prepare for the A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy.

ACC Biotechnology: Leaders in Science

The Austin biotech industry is booming, and ACC biotechnology students are at the cutting edge of science. Get started on an exciting career in science at ACC.

ACC Bioscience Incubator

ACC’s Bioscience Incubator provides biotechs with state-of-the-art lab facilities and students with internships and job options. Students learn to work in a commercial environment, doing science.

InnovATEBIO Hub

ACC is also home to the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded InnovATEBIO National Biotechnology Education Center. Students learn the technical skills that biotech companies are looking for.

    • Discover what makes up life and living organisms with Austin Community College’s Biology Program. With dedicated faculty and limited class sizes, you’ll get one-on-one learning support in and out of the classroom. Courses will prepare you for multiple paths, whether you’re interested in enrolling in one of ACC’s many popular Health Sciences career programs or completing up to two years of affordable and transferable credits for a bachelor’s degree.

Austin Community College’s Biotechnology Program is a key partner in developing a biotech education center and is home to the Bioscience Incubator, which provides students with valuable exposure to emerging research.

Demand for engineers in Central Texas is expected to reach 4,840 by 2022. In response to this anticipated growth, Texas A&M and ACC created the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at ACC. Supported by Chevron, the Academy provides talented students an opportunity to pursue their engineering degree in a co-enrollment program between Texas A&M and ACC.
