Duties and Tasks: 
  • Set up recreational equipment before league play begins
  • Check-in students as the arrive for their league games
  • Make sure all appropriate forms are filled out for the night
  • Monitor league games making sure everything runs smoothly and stays on schedule
  • At the end of the night, make sure all equipment and forms are collected
  • Respond to questions/direct inquiries from students at respective site.
  • Report any problems or incidents to Intramural Coordinator
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills: 
  • Ability to conform to a specific work schedule on scheduled week night
  • Ability to communicate with the Intramural Coordinator in a timely manner
  • Familiarity with specific sports in relation to league play
  • Familiarity with basic sports rules in relation to league play
  • Ability to use personal computers
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to fill out forms and reports and submit to Intramural Coordinator in a timely manner
  • Ability to set-up/take-down sports equipment if needed.
Additional Requirements: 

Ability to work an end of the season tournament held on a Saturday

Campus Specific Requirements: 

The Intramurals office is located at the Rio Grande campus but most of the work will be off-site at the league play specific gymnasium. One or two evenings a week working approximately from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Student will be a "court monitor" for intramurals sports league at a specific site. End of season tournament will require 1 or 2 Saturdays during the Fall and Spring seasons.
