Duties and Tasks: 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as a representative of the College.
  • Participate in high school senior outreach activities in Austin and surrounding area.
  • Speak publicly and professionally about going to college.
  • Research and recruit College Connection Program alumni.
  • Interview college students and record student testimonials.
  • Assist with building student outreach materials and testimonial page on Website.
  • Assist in College Connection Administration office as needed.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience, and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking and establishing a rapport with an audience of high school students
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations
  • Effective organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude toward the college experience and ACC
  • Capable of understanding and following instructions
  • Ability to conform to an established work schedule
  • Capable of working on a personal computer and using Word
  • Able to provide own transportation
Additional Requirements: 

Preferred skills:

  • Participation in College Connection program during High School
  • Interest in marketing,  journalism, or public speaking
  • Skills with photography, photojournalism, or web-design
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
Campus Specific Requirements: 

HBC - Evening and weekend hours available.
