CDEC 1311 Educating Young Children

This course requires 16 hours of fieldwork/lab. These fieldwork/lab hours must be completed in person in a licensed or registered early childhood classroom. Students must also be eligible for fieldwork/lab by passing a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, which will be conducted in class at the start of the semester.

This course requires completion of lab experience. During the course of this experience, students will comply with the health and safety protocols of their lab site.  Inability to meet the expectations may impact the student’s successful completion of the lab hours. This may delay the student’s completion of the course. If there are additional questions, please reach out to the department chair rmcgough@austincc.edu
