Emergency Medical Services Professions

ALL EMSP COURSES REQUIRE DEPARTMENTAL APPROVAL PRIOR TO REGISTRATION. 

Prospective EMT student must provide documentation of certain vaccinations, American Heart Association BLS certification and a mandatory online Information Session in order to gain access to the application for that program. 

Prospective Advanced EMT  through Paramedic students must also provide documentation of certain vaccinations, American Heart Association BLS certification, proof of EMT Certification or proof of enrollment in an EMT course and a mandatory online Information Session in order to gain access to the application for that program.

EMSP 1356 Patient Assessment and Airway Management

EMSP 1338 and EMSP 1356 make up the first semester course work for the Intermediate/ Advanced Program and must be taken together. 

ALL EMSP COURSES REQUIRE DEPARTMENTAL APPROVAL PRIOR TO REGISTRATION. Documentation of certain vaccinations as well as American Heart Association BLS certification, , Proof of National Registry EMT, State of Texas EMT or proof of current enrollment in an EMT Course, along with proof of the Online Intermediate/Advanced Program Information Session are required prior to being allowed to apply.
