Classroom Sections - Instruction is delivered in-person with students in attendance for class meetings. An ACC ID card and personal safety measures will be required when on campus or on site. Note: Face-to-face (F2F) options include lectures, labs, practicums, clinicals, etc.

16 Week Session: January 16 - May 12
Students who intend to move on to MATH 2412 Precalculus should enroll in MATH 1414 College Algebra for Precalculus. MATH 1314 will not meet the prerequisites for MATH 2412. Many programs may allow students to use MATH 1332 Contemporary Mathematics or MATH 1342 Elementary Statistics to fulfill their math requirements rather than MATH 1314. Check the requirements of your program at ACC and at the institution to which you wish to transfer.

Students are required to have a computer/tablet equipped with microphone and webcam (internal or external) and reliable internet access. This is a corequisite course, students will cover developmental math and college algebra objectives in one semester. This section includes a fee to cover the costs of required digital materials and/or an electronic textbook, provided at a discounted rate from the ACC Bookstore. IMPORTANT! Some institutions prefer students to take MATH 1324 prior to Business Calculus, check the requirements of your program at the institution to which you wish to transfer. Prerequisites: MATH 1324 or MATH 1314 with a C or higher or a satisfactory score on the ALEKS PPL Advanced Math Assessment, https://www.austincc.edu/students/testing-services/advanced-math-assessment. The prerequisites for all mathematics courses are STRICTLY enforced and will be verified by instructors. Students without the prerequisites are subject to withdrawal.

Math Launch is a short course offered through ACC's Continuing Education department, staffed by ACC math instructors. Math Launch is a low cost opportunity for students to review and refresh previously learned math topics, and to reassess with the chance of improving their initial developmental math placement.
