MATH 1314 College Algebra

Students who intend to move on to MATH 2412 Precalculus should enroll in MATH 1414 College Algebra for Precalculus.  MATH 1314 will not meet the prerequisites for MATH 2412.  Many programs may allow students to use MATH 1332 Contemporary Mathematics or MATH 1342 Elementary Statistics to fulfill their math requirements rather than MATH 1314.  Check the requirements of your program at ACC and at the institution to which you wish to transfer.

76599 - This section is paired with MATD 0414-003-76556. Students will enroll in both sections and attend class Monday thru Thursday 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM. Students are required to have a computer/tablet equipped with microphone and webcam (internal or external) and reliable internet access. This is a corequisite course, students will cover developmental math and college algebra objectives in one semester. This section will be computer-based with a mixture of ALEKS software and written assignments. ALEKS is required and included in First Day Access. This section includes a fee to cover the costs of required digital materials, provided at a discounted rate from the ACC Bookstore. IMPORTANT! The digital materials fee will be added to your tuition and fees when you register.  This class will be supported by Supplemental Instruction (SI), subject to availability.

MATH 1414 College Algebra for Precalculus

College Algebra for Precalculus (MATH 1414) is for students that intend to move on to MATH 2412 Precalculus.  Students that intend to take MATH 1350 Math for Middle Grade Teacher Certification or are looking for a terminal College Algebra course should enroll in MATH 1314 College Algebra.
