DLS (Synchronous Virtual Class Meetings Required). Course instruction is online. Course instruction includes required real-time virtual class meetings at the days and times listed. Tests will be taken online. Some tests may require proctoring. Students can access online proctoring on their own computer for free. Online courses eliminate geography as a factor.

Instruction in visual design for screen-based & digital experiences. Emphasis on visual design in UX, universal design principles, typography, best practices in screen design for web and and applications. Emphasis is placed on content design, interface patterns, color, typography, multi-viewport design, visual communication for a better user experience, and the unique challenges of design for screen media.
Prerequisites: UXUI 1373, UXUI 1374 and UXUI 1375; or instructor's approval. If you are a Graphic Design major, please note that ARTC 1379 Design for Screens has replaced this course on your program map. Instruction in the use of visual design, prototyping and collaboration tools. Also, design principles, and design systems will be explored.
Required knowledge: Students should have working knowledge of their computer and its operating system, including how to efficiently use the mouse, standard menus, and keyboard commands, as well as how to use the file system to create and edit files and folders. If you need additional guidance or practice using desktop computers, ACC offers a free five-week course called Intro to Computers and Internet Search, which is a great option for gaining more experience.
