MATH 1414 College Algebra for Precalculus

College Algebra for Precalculus (MATH 1414) is for students that intend to move on to MATH 2412 Precalculus.  Students that intend to take MATH 1350 Math for Middle Grade Teacher Certification or are looking for a terminal College Algebra course should enroll in MATH 1314 College Algebra.

MATH 2412 Precalculus: Functions and Graphs

Beginning Fall 2019 the prerequisite for MATH 2412 is MATH 1414 College Algebra for Precalculus. Students with MATH 1314 credit will need to take the ALEKS PPL Advanced Math Assessment, https://www.austincc.edu/students/testing-services/advanced-math-assessment to review for and qualify to take MATH 2412.  The prerequisites for all mathematics courses are STRICTLY enforced and will be verified by instructors.  Students without the prerequisites are subject to withdrawal.

Synchronous Online Sections

DLS (Synchronous Virtual Class Meetings Required). Course instruction is online. Course instruction includes required real-time virtual class meetings at the days and times listed. Tests will be taken online. Some tests may require proctoring. Students can access online proctoring on their own computer for free. Online courses eliminate geography as a factor.
