Course instruction is online. Tests will be taken online. Some exams will require live proctoring. Students can access online proctoring on their own computer for free. Online courses eliminate geography as a factor. A computer with a webcam, or PC with a working camera or MAC with a working camera or a Chromebook will be needed as well as strong reliable internet connection. There may be podcasts and videos available. If available, the video streaming is online. For MANDATORY orientation information log into BlackBoard, found at http://acconline.austincc.edu/ the first week of class. This section includes a fee to cover the costs of required digital materials and/or an electronic textbook, provided at a discounted rate from the ACC Bookstore. IMPORTANT! This course relates topics in HPRS 1206 to the diversity, complexity and interdependence of the world community and current global issues. It is part of ACC's Global Studies (GS) program, but is open to all students and counts as a standard HPRS 1206 course.
