This course is part of a cohort model for students participating in the BRASS program (austincc.edu/BRASS). Contact the department at brass@austincc.edu for enrollment information. This course topics include intellectual, historical, political, artistic, religious, scientific, economic, and/or sociocultural experiences of people of African descent. It is part of ACC's African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) program but is open to all students and counts as a standard (HIST-2381 course). This is a ZTC-class (Zero Textbook Cost section). In place of required textbooks, all textbook materials needed for the class will be available digitally to students free of charge. Students may print copies of the resources (if applicable) but will be responsible for printing costs. Course materials are Open Educational Resources (OER); see syllabus or contact the instructor for more details. This class will be supported by Supplemental Instruction (SI), subject to availability
