Synchronous Online Sections

DLS (Synchronous Virtual Class Meetings Required). Course instruction is online. Course instruction includes required real-time virtual class meetings at the days and times listed. Tests will be taken online. Some tests may require proctoring. Students can access online proctoring on their own computer for free. Online courses eliminate geography as a factor.

Accounting

NOTE TO STUDENTS ENROLLED(ING) IN ACCOUNTING PROGRAMS OR
ACCOUNTING CERTIFICATES:
Schedule an advising session if you are: 1) a student new to an ACC certificate program
in accounting, or 2) you need advice on the TSBPA requirements to sit for the CPA
exam. Please do NOT schedule advising sessions for course registration
approvals. 
Instead, please use this link to the petition to expedite your course registration approval
request.
The administrative assistant grants approval to students to register for classes only
after they are cleared by the Department Chair and prerequisites are complete. Allow 1-
3 business days for email confirmation of your request.
All registration inquiries and program information inquiries should originate from the
student’s ACC student Gmail account (@g.austincc.edu) and should include the
student’s ACC eID number to expedite processing of the request. Inquiries should be

Students are required to attend online course instruction at the required meeting time.  Required materials: textbook, laptop or desktop with webcam or use of external webcam. Web system requirements: Proctorio Plus and Respondus Monitor works with Firefox, Google Chrome, Chrome Books and Safari. If you have any questions, please reach out to your instructor.  Students are required to attend lectures at the scheduled meeting time. Tests and assessments may be proctored online using Proctorio for an additional $15 fee included in tuition and fees. MANDATORY orientation information will be available in Blackboard.  This section includes a fee to cover the costs of required digital materials and/or an electronic textbook, provided at a discounted rate from the ACC Bookstore. IMPORTANT! The digital materials fee will be added to your tuition and fees when you register. You may choose to opt out of this fee and receive a refund if you wish to purchase the course materials separately.  Opt-out requests must be received prior to the official reporting date for a full refund.  For more information, see First Day Access.
