A general introduction to the visual arts designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. Students will critically interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural, and historical contexts. This course fulfills the Creative Arts Core Curriculum requirement.

This is a fully Online Asynchronous Course. Students complete and submit all required learning activities through the ACC Blackboard Learning Platform. This is a First Day Access course, a program of Austin Community College. First Day Inclusive Access provides access to discounted course materials and eBook through the ACC Bookstore. The cost of required digital course materials is added to students’ tuition and fees when they register. Materials are accessed through the Blackboard course site by the start of the semester. Students can access materials anywhere with online access and on various devices. Opting out of First Day Access: If students wish to purchase the course materials separately, they must opt out prior to the official reporting date for a full refund.
