DANC 2303 Dance Appreciation

No dance experience required. Required course for Associate of Arts Degree in Dance

This course fulfills the Core Curriculum requirement for Creative Arts. See specific Section Notes related to course delivery method. For additional info contact csolaas@austincc.edu.

Description: A general survey of dance forms designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, techniques and purposes of the creative process. This course includes critical interpretation and evaluations of choreographic works and dance forms within cultural and historical contexts.

The Great Questions Seminar is a discussion-based course focused on the study of Great Books, and it serves both as a section of Introduction to Humanities and as a student success course. It satisfies the student success requirement for students entering ACC with fewer than 12 credit hours and meets the Language, Philosophy, and Culture or Component Area requirement in the core curriculum. This course is also a Liberal Arts Gateway Course.This course relates topics in HUMA 1301 to the diversity, complexity and interdependence of the world community and current global issues. It is part of ACC's Global Studies program, but is open to all students and counts as a standard HUMA 1301 course.

It is part of ACC's Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) program but is open to all students.  It is part of ACC's Global Studies program, but is open to all students and counts as a standard HUMA 1302 course.
