ACC closes in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The Austin Community College District (ACC) is closed Monday, January 16, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. With support from the college’s Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (THRT) Campus Center, the college will participate in an event to honor Dr. King’s life and legacy. It is free and open to the community.

  • Honoring MLK March | 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    • The annual community march celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy while uplifting diversity and multiculturalism in our city. Participants will gather at the MLK statue on the University of Texas Campus for a short program. The march will then head to the south steps of the Capitol for a rally before concluding at Huston-Tillotson University for the MLK community festival.
