Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2024

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, celebrated annually in May, is a time to honor and recognize the cultural heritage, contributions, and achievements of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

In 2024, Austin Community College (ACC) is marking the occasion with a lineup of events providing various opportunities for exploring various AAPI-themed topics and interests.

Let us unite as a community to both learn from and celebrate AAPI communities, while striving towards creating a more just, equitable, and inclusive future for all.

AAPI Book Club Quiet - The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking - by Susan Cain

Spring 2024 AAPI Book Club – Quiet

Welcome to AAPI Book Club at the ACC Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Cultural Center. We are a book club dedicated to fostering self-discovery, self-growth, and nurturing a sense of community. Each book is carefully chosen to inspire introspection, encourage personal growth, and ignite meaningful conversations. AAPI Book Club is open to ACC students, staff, and faculty.

In the upcoming Spring semester, the AAPI Book Club will be reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. The non-fiction book explores the power of introversion and provides insights into how introverts can thrive in a world that often values extroversion.
